Blizzard of 2010!

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas (those who celebrate)!

This could truly be the last Christmas we spend on Long Island for a long time! Last year we drove to Long Island for Christmas in a blizzard...it took us 3 days when it normally would take 1. This year, it may still take us 3 days to get home even though we flew! Our flight tomorrow has been cancelled and we are tentatively booked on two others, one tomorrow night and one on Tuesday morning. We will see!

We had a wonderful Christmas being with our family. Santa was so good to me this year as he had my engagement ring reset! What a nice old guy!

As good as it was being here this past week, I really was looking forward to going home tomorrow morning! We have Steves family coming in on Tuesday night so this will be really interesting if we don't get home by Tuesday! Always an adventure.

I am also looking forward to getting my eating/exercising back on track. Thankfully my band has been 'reminding' me not to eat but man, I have been making horrible choices! It amazes me how horrible I have been. I really thought I was past all this, you know, falling into the "going home and eating" routine? The only bright side is that I know what I have to do and even better, I know that I will do it! That part is new to me..in the past I would just continue with my bad choices but those days are gone!

So, wish me luck with getting home tomorrow! I will let you know how that turns out!

Good luck getting home tomorrow. I am sorry to say, but it is butt ass cold here in Daytona Beach! Your rings are gorgeous too!

I hope you can get home before your inlaws get there. Your rings look beautiful. I also hear you on the eating thing. Now that I am not filled it's been really hard. The band normally stops me from overindulging but there isn't much restriction when you aren't filled. Ugh!! I know I've gained weight. My jeans are feeling tight.

Good luck Jacquie! I hope you don't have too much trouble! It's so weird, Toronto has no snow coming down, and ya'll are getting dumped on!

Gorgeous rings, I'm glad they fit correctly again!!

I think I'd be with you and consider adjusting your holiday visit to NY to a month or so earlier in the future - much less likely to get the snow. Good luck getting home!! I hope it's in plenty of time to prepare for Steve's family.

And - the food thing - it is amazing that we know we can get ourselves back on track with the right choices. That knowledge is so very liberating!!

Great job!

A gorgeous ring for a gorgeous lady!! I've been watching the snow from sunny Arizona with mixed emotions. Sad to have missed such a beautiful storm, but so glad that I'm not traveling anywhere right now! Hope you get home without any more delays!! xoxo
