Herman is the new spin instructor at my gym and he is a KILLER but I love this man! I burned 632 calories in a 60 minute class. I feel like I am dying and just when I think this is it, I can't do it, he changes something and bam, I am back in the game! I fee so good when I am done though, don't worry!
I am home now and freshly showered....I can honestly say that my shorts, bra, shirt, socks and headband are not this wet from other classes. I am going to commit to doing at least 3 spin classes again this coming week and I may even try to sneak in an additional one or two!
I am very disappointed with the lack of scale movement this week though. There isn't any and that is bad considering I had that baby fill on Wed. I have checked my journal and I had a few items that weren't the best choices (Hershey Dark Chocolate Nuggets with Almonds, 200 calories, 4 g. protein for one) but I can honestly say, they were planned and well under my calorie limit for the day. Actually, this was yesterday, my total calorie intake was 780 including the nuggets and 67 g of protein. I am going to eat closer to my 1200 calories today and make sure the calories are primarily protein g and the carbs come from veggies or fruit. I suspect that this will help!
We are off to the beach today with our boy Brutus....he loves to walk along the shore and tries to eat the birds! What a charmer! There is also an art festival going on that we will be going to. Should be fun...temp is supposed to be around 80 or so. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend!

Wow 632 calories.. I need to get my butt back to the gym.. hope your scale moves soon!! I hate stalling scales!
you will lose soon--with those great workouts your body is bound to go into shock for a bit before it tips downward. I bet you lose inches!
xxxooo
You're just going through a lull. We all go through them! You will be back on track before you know it and losing! Plus as you get closer to your goal weight it does get harder and harder to lose those extra pounds. I'm trying to learn to love how I am now and know that this isn't the end of the weight loss. All we have is time!
80! I was ecstatic today because it got up to 56. Hope you have a nice time at the beach.
I absolutely adore my spin class. You rock!
I always try to talk myself out of my spin class but I'm so glad I hung in there and finished it. It is a tough workout for me and I also love it.
Jacquie, the scale will move, you are so dedicated! BTW, chocolate is good for the soul!
You are a stud! In your case I bet you are exchanging muscle for fat so you aren't seeing much movement. I bet your pretty toned though!
Hi Jacqui,
Thanks for commenting on my blog. Yes, I have been so close to buying a scale, but I have resisted thus far! I'm going cold turkey without my scale and turning it into an experiment--3 moderate meals and two small snacks. I want to see what happens when I stay off and when I eat without tracking. So far so good! Nice to hear from you, Jacqui, and yes, it is beautiful down here in the "sunshine state"
You BEAST! I'm addicted to spin too! Let's compare quads in September :)
a walk on the beach sounds perfect!
