I was on the phone with my doctors office yesterday and I have made an appt. for an unfill next Wednesday! I hope I can make it. I am really scared that something is wrong with my band as it makes no sense to me why after all this time, I am so much tighter! I had a fill on 7/1 and .15 cc's taken out on 7/8. About 2 weeks ago I noticed that I was tighter. My doc was in China and I kept putting off going to see his back-up. One day I was fine, the next day I was pb'ing. Then my doc came home but I was here in NY when all hell broke out! I am so tight in the a.m. I cannot even drink coffee or water until at least 10 a.m. Crazy. By lunch time, I can usually manage to get a protein drink down and dinner is soup. My current fave is Egg Drop soup as I have had this for the past 4 nights! I am mixing it up tonight with a Strachettella (I can only imagine how wrong the spelling is for this) which is an Italian Egg Drop with spinach. We'll see.
I was so upset 2 nights ago that I actually started to cry. I told Steve I was so hungry and frustrated and I just know something is wrong. When I spoke to my docs assistant, I flat out asked her if, God forbid, I have a slipped band or band dilation, would it make it worse if I waited 6 days to see him. She checked with him and he said no. I was that upset, and I would have gone to the ER if he said to. I was a little relieve at least to hear that. If there is anything seriously wrong, I would want my doc to take care of me. Hopefully, I am just being overly dramatic and all I am is too tight! I wish I could even get excited over what I am seeing on the scale...183.0 today and I was 186.8 on this past Sunday for the Challenge.
Anyway, I only have a few more days left of this and then one way or the other I will feel relief. Please pray for my Husband, he has been a saint during this period and we have another 18 hours a head of us in the car on Sun and Mon!

Oh man, you poor thing. Hope all goes well when you see your doc!
That's horrible Jacquie. I know that stress can play a real role in tightness with the band, I'm sure it's hard to relax when you're starving. You poor dear. You're in my thoughts. Hang in there!
Jacquie,, all I can think is UGH! Nice to see the scale drop, but not at the cost of being uncomfortable..as for the drive home, all I can think of is getting a book on tape or downloaded and just absorb yourself in something.. I couldn't do that trip, we would need to remove all sharp objects in the car. most importantly, try to enjoy your last few days on vacay.. it does go by so fast..-
I hope it all works out and that it is just stress that is causing the tightness.
I now know what it feels like to be really tight. I was filled on Wednesday and called doctor today to see if I needed a unfill. They told me to only do liquids this weekend and call on Monday! Ugh!
Hope you have a safe trip home!
I have been thinking about you lately, and hoping you are doing ok. I know you are definitely too tight, so hopefully your not getting too swollen and irritated. I can't wait for you to get an unfill and get some relief!
It sounds like you are doing all the right things to prevent any damage while you are so tight. Liquids are definately the way to go as you won't cause any slippage or over dilation of your pouch. If you're hungry add an extra protein shake or another bowl of soup later in the evening to help get you through. Just enjoy the extra weightloss though and don't worry it'll soon be over. Sending you good thoughts. xx
Oh God Jacquie - I'm so sorry. Every prayer I have is coming your way...I hope you get relief and peace soon. Keep us posted...I'll be worrying.
I think you're just too tight. Last year after having been filled for 6 months I got so tight I couldn't eat either. I survived on soup for a week until I could get back to my doctors office (I was out of state on vacation). I couldn't eat or drink anything before noon and after 6pm I was so tight again I couldn't drink a drop. After being completely unfilled for a couple of months the doctor started to refill me and he never filled my band that full again. I have been fine since. Hang in there, don't get too upset as that just makes it worse.
