I am so blown away by this! When I first started this blog I was hoping that including my husband and two daughters I would have maybe five people who read and/or commented on it. Thank you to everyone who has stopped by! This blog community is....well there is really no words to describe what it is to me. As much as I have a support system here at home, no one has gone through what I will be going through. That is where you all come in though. I know I can jump on and ask a question and within minutes, I have answers! Unbelievable! Thank you so much for supporting me. I promise to pass it forward and hopefully I too can help others who will be following me in this journey.
I'm not sure if I will be blogging much between now and surgery on Wednesday. We are leaving tomorrow morning to catch a flight to San Diego and will be picked up and driven to our hotel in Mexico. I'll be in the hospital all day on Tues for pre-op and will be spending the night in the hospital. Surgery is Wednesday and than I will be discharged on Thursday but will not be home until Friday night. I promise to post if I can during the week but in the event I can't please know that I will be thinking of all of my fellow bloggers, Camille, Tessirose and everyone else who will be banded with me this week. We will all have to catch up when I come home and compare battle scars!
Ciao for now!

I'm so excited for you. I can't wait to hear everything!
Jacquie, I hope you have a safe trip and a successful band placement. I am so excited for you! Please, please let us know asap how you are doing. Good luck!
Jacquie- If no one wants them, I'll send them to you for your 'soon to be' rack. I'll leave this on your blog as well:
I open the three (or how ever many you want side by side) pictures in 'Paint' software and crop them each to the exact same size (if you want your body/height to be the same in each you may have to also use the 'resize' function if the camera wasn't the same distance away; I just worked with it until the top of my head to my feet were in the same place.). I open up a fourth Paint screen and expand the blank/white box to the size that will be needed to hold all three pics (ie. If I decide to make each pic 500x200 pixels then the box would need to be 500x600 pixels). Then go back to each pic, and under 'select' chose 'select all' then 'copy'. Go back to the 4th sceen and push 'paste'...then slide the pic into position. When you get all three pics there, save it. Then you're ready to import it here. Let me know if you get stuck and keep us posted next week!
Will be thinking about you.
You're going to do great and you'll be home in no time flat starting your own journey!
Good luck for Wednesday - and thanks for dropping in to our blog!
Good luck with the travel and surgery next week. You are going to great!

Hi Jacquie, sorry it took me so long to find your blog, I wish you a lot of luck for your surgery, I will be thinking of you that day. I need to catch up and read your blog. You can count on me for support :) GOOD LUCK and see you on the other side.
You are almost there! I can't wait to hear about your experience.
Jacquie, I hope your trip to San Diego, then on to Mexico went smoothly.
We will all be thinking of you on Wednesday!! Soon you will be on the "other side", and on your way to recovery!! :)
Best wishes, good luck and have a safe trip!
I promise you, from the bottom of my heart that you are embarking on a journey that will constantly amaze you! As you may know, I had my surgery in August of 2007 and have lost 115 lbs to date. It was...and still is...the very best thing I've ever done for myself. My life has changed in measurable ways--at the scale, in my clothing sizes and in my blood pressure, my cholesterol and my pre-diabetes. But, it also changed in ways that can't be weighed or measured.
As you have already witnessed...you can rely on the constant and loving support of the Lapbanded blogging community. We are with you every step of the way--to encourage you, give you nuggets of information, cheer your successes and provide insights from our journies with the band. We have all walked the path you are walking today and the paths you will walk in the upcoming weeks and months!
This is the beginning of wonderful days! I'm looking forward to being with you and all of our banded brethren on this journey of a lifetime!
Onward!

Welcome to the other side Jacquie.
Keep you eye on the prize, there will be hiccups, but it will make the arrival all the more sweeter.
Treat yourself gently.
