Steve and I had a few rough days (I was very mad at him) over the water temperature of our pool, it was 92 degrees. Its a long story but the outcome was/is I love that man and regardless of what the pool temp is, he is the best thing that has ever happened to me. That being said, he has since lowered the thermostat!
Anyway, we were able to salvage our date night last night and had a very nice dinner at an Italian restaurant near our home. We split an order of Veal Mezzaluna, oh sweet Jesus was that delish and a Ceasar salad! The veal was on a bed of spinach and had a slice of eggplant on top, with mozzerella cheese and was in a Marsala sauce. There gave us 2 pieces of veal which were probably 5 oz. each. Steve ate all of his and a piece of mine! My husband loves how much smaller our restaurant bills are since I got my band! In the past, we each would have ordered our own meal and would have eaten every last bite! He is thin but is like a dog when he eats...if it is in front of him, he will eat it whether he is hungry or not!
I ate a small end piece of the homemade garlic bread, some salad and 3/4 of the veal. I was comfortable, not full. What a great feeling that is! I figured out, to the best of my ability, the amount of calories I had yesterday and it came in under 1200. I also worked out and burned 500+ calories at the gym so all in all, it was a great day. Until I got on the scale and saw it was up .8 but I just have to go with it and know that when you weigh every day, their are fluctuations. I also think the soreness in my muscles is an indication that I am retaining water. Moving forward!

Isn't it stupid how the worst fights with your significant other are about minor things?? Our last fight was about changing the toilet paper roll...lol.
Don't worry about the .8, as long as you keep having good days, it will go down and down.
I actually wasn't sore after my first gym workout on Tuesday, but I know I worked hard, so that makes me feel good because the little bit of exercise I have been doing here must have prepared me at least a little for my workout!
Ouchie. Sounds like a hard workout.
good...no...GREAT for you! When your muscles are sore they hold on to water - don't fret! :)
You are going to be totally ripped in no time!!! Good job :)
Give it a day or so and then weight yourself again. You will see positive results! I see my trainer again today...slightly scared shitless! Have a great one!
Good for you on sore muscles...that's gotta mean good things are just around the corner.
YAY exercise is right....way to go Jacquie...and you know what...exercise is def going to help you feel a bit better mentally on the tough days with the endorphins and serotonin it releases so keep at it!
Jacquie-- restaurant food is filled with hidden sodium, so don't fret the .8-- it will come down.
And note from the 'slow loser' club'-- you can be an official charter member, and we will both be skinny mini's evenutally anyway!!
:-)
You're doing great...
Dinner sounds heavenly! I ENJOY food with my band. When I was morbidly obese, I hardly ever had fun with food. Strange, but not really.
Oh, and BTW, I love my husband, but sometimes I don't like him! He's the best thing on the planet to me, but he still drives me nuts (not in a good way) sometimes... :) I think it's normal(ish)...
Are you trying to make me hungry?!
