Todays menu and surprise on the scale

This morning when I jumped on my scale I was welcomed with 179.8! WHAT? I didn't believe it. Well, I should have quit while I was ahead because the next 3 times I got on I weighed 180.4 :( Its all good though because the day before, I was 181.8 so it is definitely going down and I will be in the 170's very soon!

I know that my having the band was supposed to help me stay away from the "diet mentality" but I have to admit, with my having no or close to no restriction, counting calories helps me stay on track and stay focused. So, without furter ado, the following is my menu for today! Question, is too much protein a bad thing? Total protein for today will be 90g and total calories will be 1028.

B - S.E.I. Max Protein chocolate shake with strawberries
L - Chobani Plain Yogurt with 1/2 cup Kashi go lean crisp cereal mixed in
D - 4 oz. chopsteak with mushroom gravy, couple stalks asparagus & 1/2 cup of mashed potatos
S - SF Jello pudding with SF whipped cream

Exercise:45 minute spin class

80 - 100 oz. of water

Great news Jacquie! Congrats!

I just posted about counting calories - note how much more I am eating! You should lose a bunch with 1000 calories and 45 mins spinning! Impressive!

You're doing great Jacquie! I have a friend who has a kidney problem and he can't process all that protien, he is actually very sick right now form a long Atkins spree. I think if you're healthy, it's all good.

Holy moly, woman, you are on fire with this weight-loss thing. Great menu, great exercise, phenomenal water intake!

Too much protein can be tough on kidneys, but I have no idea how much is too much. Maybe check with your regular doc?
